Lending Club Update

After 4 months. Currently I am earning 19.74.% interest. That is really good. I have 3 that have fully paid. 1 went into grace period trice, but he always pay in the end.

It is still too early to say. The more notes I have, I will  likely get default in the future, however I will be happy if I can maintain a 10% interest rate, that is more than any bank can pay me.

My Experiment in Lending Club

I started out investing $250 last month, seeing my first note making payment today, I got $0.83, of which $0.27 is interest? I am still not sure how it works out. I am still learning it. I was very conservative in my first attempt, bought mostly A or B notes.

Then earlier this month, I invested another $250, this time I tried higher interest return, average about 15%.

Throughout this time, I have been reading more about Lending Club, it looks pretty positive, so I invested another $250 today, this time, I go for the so called high risk notes, every note that I bought has at least 20% interest.

Let's wait and see how my experiment turn out. Meanwhile, I am transferring my fourth $250, planning to invest again. If everything is as planned and said, this is a very good investing venue, 10-20% with compound interest, you really don't get it anywhere else. Though stocks can provide such a return, however the risk of falling is also very high.

Risk of defaulting vs risk of share price falling, which is more unpredictable, what do you guys think?

I also plan to experiment in Prosper, already transferred $250, waiting for the fund to arrive.
